Hey everyone!
I posted a little while back about putting my house up for sale and starting to look for another property to buy. My house officially went on the market whilst we were holidaying in Iceland (which feels like such a long time ago 😭). I decided to list my house with Purple Bricks as they had a £849 selling fee. Unlike traditional estate agents though, you do have to pay the £849 even if you don't sell and take your house off the market. This didn't really concern me though as I've listed my house to sell, even if it took a year or two!
Anyway, 6 days after my house officially went on the market I had my first viewing arranged. I was really surprised I got a viewing so quickly and really wasn't expecting it. Viewing went great and I got some lovely feedback too! Here it is ⇓
I was particularly pleased with the presentation rating (as you can imagine)!
I then had another buyer book a viewing 3 days after the first viewing but an hour after confirming the viewing, I received an offer (for the asking price) from the buyers who first came to view the house! I was absolutely flabbergasted (and slightly shocked). I still went ahead with the viewing but then a few hours later accepted the offer from the buyers who first come to view the house.
Fast forward a day and the solicitors have been contacted and all the wheels are in motion (so to speak). I really didn't expect the house to sell so quickly (especially to the first people who viewed it), I thought I'd be sitting here for a year or so with a few viewings every now and then! The people who are buying my house would like to move in during the summer holidays (suits me perfect!) so we do have plenty of time to find the perfect house.
This weekend we're going to the bank to sort out our new potential mortgage and we're going to be viewing a handful of houses. I will be keeping you posted on our search for the perfect house.
Doll xoxo
