Makeup brushes... a must have for great makeup application (I don't do the whole finger dabbing malarkey.) Now there are so many different types of brushes from different shapes, styles, materials and of course prices! As I go through life I'm constantly discovering new brushes that I love and some that I really don't!
Let's start with my favourite
The MAC 190
Ok so the ultimate foundation brush (for me). I use this every time I apply my foundation and I love it (should probably clean it more though as I am looking at it now!) I've had this brush over two years now and it is still going strong and always gives a good, even coverage.
Ever had a brush that when you use it the bristles start falling out? Well... not this one, I'd be surprised if I've even lost a single strand out of it as I've not noticed.

At £27.00 some of you may think its a little pricey but like I said, I've had this brush over two years and its still fantastic. I would say that sometimes I feel I need to use my beauty blender afterwards as I can see foundation 'streaks' (almost) on my face, this probably is because I generally apply a lot of foundation and if you're only applying a small amount you probably wouldn't get this. This still doesn't put me off the brush itself though! Moving swiftly on to my beauty blender...
Beauty Blender
Ook ok its not a brush but..... OMG AMAZING!
I use this every time I apply makeup, whether it's foundation or powder. You can get different sizes and of course some are more expensive than others, mine was a small cheap one from Ebay and does the job perfectly. It's great to blend in your foundation, add powder to certain areas and I even use it when contouring, what did I do before?
Back to brushes...
MAC 120
My favourite bronzer, blusher, blending brush! I use this for a variety of things, always for applying pale or setting powder, with my bronzer for that goddess glow (ha, I try!) for a small touch of blusher or just to blend the entire thing together. Its big, fluffy, lightweight and definitely a must have. I do get bits of the bristles coming off onto my face though when I'm using it, I purchased this brush alongside my MAC 190 so perhaps its just getting a little old? I don't know, anyone who uses this brush, leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts! Either way, I use it every time I apply makeup and just pick the bristles off my face (attractive!)
I've just checked the MAC website and it appears they're no longer selling it... there's a bunch of alternatives though, maybe it's time for me to buy a new one?!

Classed as a small contour brush, I love this for so many reasons. Do I think it's an amazing contour brush? No and I'll explain why... For me, getting the cheek right when contouring is vital, this even for me still feels too big to get than sharp line underneath your cheek bone. I'd prefer something smaller and perhaps more angled to achieve the look I like. It is however great for applying blusher, because it is small it applies it to literally on the apples of your cheeks and that's it! So none of this pink blush too far up your face. For that reason, I love it.

That concludes my fave brushes to use on my face at the minute.
